The problem
Term-end is where schools lose weeks
Most schools run on a fee register, a stack of transfer screenshots, a spreadsheet of scores and a WhatsApp group. Each one is right on its own. Together they never agree.
Fees you cannot see
The bursar knows who paid. The proprietor finds out at the end of the month. Parents ask what they owe and nobody can say quickly.
Scores typed twice
Teachers write marks on paper, then someone types them into a template, then someone checks the positions by hand.
Parents in the dark
Results arrive late, absences go unmentioned, and the first the family hears of a balance is a note in a school bag.

Fees and payments
Every naira matched to an invoice
Set the fee structure per class and term. Parents pay online with Paystack and the money settles to your school's own verified account. EduPrefect does not hold your fees.

EduPrefect charges a 0.5% platform fee on online payments. It is waived for payments of ₦2,000 or less, capped at ₦2,500 per transaction, and shown before the parent pays. Paystack's own charge is separate.

Report cards
Report-card week, without the all-nighters
Enter continuous assessment and exam scores once. EduPrefect applies your weighting, works out A1 to F9 grades and class and subject positions, and prints your report-card template.
For the teacher's remark, EduPrefect can draft a starting point from the term's results. The teacher reads it, edits it and approves it. The child's name is replaced with "the student" before the draft is written, and put back on your own system when the teacher approves.
AI remarks are a draft for the teacher, not an automatic grade. They are part of every plan, with a monthly AI allocation.

The Teacher app
Take the register with no signal
Teachers mark attendance and enter scores on their phones in the classroom. If the network drops, the entries are kept on the phone and sync when it comes back.
Offline working is a feature of the Teacher app. The Parent app, online payments and the admin site need a connection.

Your school gets a public website at your-school.eduprefect.com. You write or draft each section and approve it before anything is published.

Questions school owners ask
How long does setup take?
We aim to have you live within a week. We import your students, classes and fee structure with you, and configure your terms, grading and report-card template before you start.
Can you move our existing data?
Yes, and it is free. Send us your current spreadsheets and our team migrates students, classes and guardians, so you do not start from a blank screen.
Will it work on poor network and power?
The Teacher app lets teachers take attendance and enter scores without a signal, then sync when they reconnect. The Parent app, online payments and the admin site need a connection.
What about parents without a smartphone?
Absence alerts reach parents by SMS and push as well as in the app, lateness alerts appear in the app, and your school can print report cards as PDFs for families who prefer paper.
Where does the money go when a parent pays?
Online payments go through Paystack and settle to your school's own verified Paystack subaccount. EduPrefect never holds your fees.
Does EduPrefect do computer-based tests?
No. Computer-based testing is not part of the product today.
Is our data private?
EduPrefect is built to support NDPA, with role-based access, a log of sensitive admin actions (who did what, and when) that authorised staff can review, encryption in transit, and data export and erasure-request tools. Your school's data is yours.
Does EduPrefect handle staff payroll?
Yes. Set up each staff member's salary structure and EduPrefect computes PAYE, pension and net pay with a payslip every month. You remit and file with the tax authorities yourself.
Can families apply for admission online?
Yes. Share your school's public apply-online link and families can submit an application, attach documents and pay the application fee by Paystack. Your staff review every application and decide on an offer. Nothing is admitted automatically.

Every school gets hands-on onboarding and training for administrators, bursars and teachers, and support continues over WhatsApp and email.
