EduPrefect charges a 0.5% platform fee on online payments. It is waived for payments of ₦2,000 or less, capped at ₦2,500 per transaction, and shown before the parent pays. Paystack's own charge is separate.

Questions to ask before you decide
Where does the money go when a parent pays online?
Online payments settle to your school's own verified Paystack subaccount. EduPrefect never holds your fees.
Can we record cash and bank transfers?
Yes. The bursar records those payments against the invoice, so cash, transfers and Paystack payments all appear in one ledger.
Can a parent pay in installments?
Yes. The bursar can split an invoice into dated installments. Parents see them on the parent web portal.
Can one person refund a payment alone?
No. Refunds and reversals are requested by one member of staff and approved by a different one.
Does EduPrefect send fee reminders to parents?
Not automatically today. The bursar uses the defaulter and ageing lists to see who owes and follows up.
Does EduPrefect remit PAYE or pension for us?
No. It calculates PAYE, pension and net pay and produces payslips. You pay staff and remit to the tax authorities yourself.
